Board Web Content and Accessibility Policy 

 

NONDISCRIMINATION:

In compliance with State and Federal law (e.g., copyright laws, Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPAA)), it is the policy of the Novi Community School District that no person shall on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including sexual orientation or transgender identity), age, disability, height, genetic discrimination, weight, marital or family status, military status, or any other legally protected category be illegally excluded from participation in, be denied access to, or be subjected to discrimination, while accessing the district website. In accordance with Federal regulations, Novi Community School District has appointed a Section 504/ADA Website Compliance Coordinator.

ON AN ONGOING BASIS THE BOARD OF EDUCATION REVIEWS THE LATEST STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS THAT MAY AFFECT THE DISTRICT AND ITS EXISTING POLICIES.  AS THE BOARD ADOPTS NEW POLICY OR APPROVES REVISIONS TO EXISTING POLICY  THE ELECTRONIC VERSION OF THE BOARD'S POLICY MANUAL MAY NOT IMMEDIATELY REFLECT THE MOST RECENT CHANGES.
