That's What Meadows Likes To See!

Novi Meadows has a school-wide 7-Habits themed program called, "Growing Great Leaders!"

The principal and the counselor go into the classroom three times per year to give presentations to each team. We call these presentations 7-Habits chats. These presentations are meant to help students reflect on their actions and provide strategies on dealing with issues that 5th and 6th graders face. Each presentation focuses on the 7-Habits and how students can apply them to their daily lives.

The 7-Habits are:

1.Be Proactive

2.Begin With The End In Mind

3.Put First Things First

4.Think Win-Win

5.Seek First To Understand, Then To Be Understood

6.Synergize

7.Sharpen The Saw

Along with the classroom presentations, we have a team of student leaders who create artwork to reflect the 7-Habits for our school. Our volunteer Parenting Committee organizes these sessions. Students develop classroom posters, entry way posters, cafeteria posters, and bookmarks that are sent to fourth grade students. If you are interested in volunteering and supporting the 7-Habits program, please contact one of our respect coordinators available from the PTO website.

Our next student workday is February, 28th at 1:30.
