NOVI – Beginning Nov. 1, 2016, the Novi Community School District will implement a centralized registration system meant to improve customer service for new families and students. The one-stop shop for all Novi Schools – preschool through high school – will now take place at the:
Early Childhood Education Center
25745 Taft Road
Novi, Michigan 48374
All new families are strongly encouraged to make an appointment to register with the Community Education Department by either calling 248-675-3400 or sending an email to Enroll@NoviSchools.net.
Walk-ins will still be welcome, but only if time permits, and parents and guardians will no longer be registering their students at individual school buildings.
Once parents/guardians receive a meeting date and time from the Community Education staff, they must bring the following documentation to the appointment in order to begin the registration process:
- Student(s) birth certificate
- Proof of residency
- Parents driver’s license
- Record of immunization
- Passports (if not U.S. citizens)
- Previous report card
Parents/guardians may get jump on registration by completing the pre-enrollment forms on the NCSD website in the Registration section found under the Parents & Community tab. Separate registration forms must be completed for each new student.
The following forms must be completed:
- Registration Information form
- Student Registration form
- Request Records form
- Prior Discipline form
- Free/Reduced Lunch form (if applicable)
- Internet and Computer Use Policy K-6

When all documents are obtained and once the student is entered into MiStar, a notification will be sent directly to the assigned school alerting them of the new student. Once enrollment is complete the family will receive a letter from the new school with a start date and further instructions.
You may start the registration process by following the link below for pre-enrollment. Once you have done this, please:
- Print off the documents and
- Bring them (along with the other required documentation listed above) to the Early Childhood Education Center to finish the enrollment process.
Families will not be enrolled unless all documents are collected.
