Have you recently moved to Novi, or do you have a student ready for kindergarten and have not yet completed the enrollment process? No problem, we are here to assist you with enrolling your student in our district.

In November, 2016, the Novi Community School District implemented a centralized enrollment system to improve customer service for new families and students.  Parents and guardians will no longer be enrolling their students at individual school buildings. The one-stop enrollment for all Novi Schools – preschool through high school – now takes place through the Community Education Department located at the:

Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC)
25745 Taft Road
Novi, Michigan  48374

All new families are strongly encouraged to make an appointment with the Community Education Department to enroll their student(s) by calling 248-675-3400 or sending an email to Enroll@NoviSchools.net.  Walk-ins will still be welcome, but only if time permits.  

Parents/guardians must bring the following documentation to their appointment with the Community Education Department in order to begin the enrollment process:

  1. Student(s) birth certificate
  2. Proof of residency
  3. Parents driver’s license
  4. Record of immunization
    a.  Vision Screening Form
  5. Passports (if not U.S. citizens)
  6. Previous report card

Parents/guardians are encouraged to complete the enrollment forms below prior to their appointment with the Community Education Department. Separate enrollment forms must be completed for each new student. 

The following forms must be completed:

  1. New Student Enrollment Information
  2. Student Registration form
  3. Request for Educational Records
  4. Affirmation of Prior Discipline Record
  5. Free/Reduced Lunch form (if applicable)
  6. Internet and Computer Use Policy K-6  
  7. Internet and Computer Use Policy 7-12

When all documents are submitted to the Community Education Department and the student is entered into MiStar, a notification will be sent directly to the assigned school alerting them of the new student. Once enrollment is complete the family will receive a letter from the new school with a start date and further instructions.

Families will not be enrolled unless all documents are submitted.

In addition to your enrollment meeting with the Community Education Department, we offer online pre-enrollment to expedite the process.  (You must still complete the forms listed above)
