Students

Virtual Guidelines

  • Student code of conduct applies
  • Allowed snacks
  • Dress as if in public

  • Camera can be off

  • Must use actual name

  • Work from whatever space is best

  • Engage in communication with classroom teacher

  • Maintain academic integrity

In-Person Guidelines

  • Student code of conduct applies
  • Follow health and safety guidelines
  • Bring fully charged devices every day

  • On Wednesdays, follow virtual guidelines 

Parents

  • Check in on student progress using Schoology, SeeSaw, and MISTAR

  • Provide space to work with reduced distractions and necessary materials

  • Monitor your child’s engagement throughout the day

  • A technology helpline is available

  • Respect students’ need to complete assessments independently

  • Allow students to be as independent as possible while supporting them

  • Expect frequent communication from teachers, schools and the district.

  • Provide grace, understanding, and support 

  • For hybrid students, must complete the health screener on each child every day.

TeacherS

Virtual Teachers

  • Provide a minimum of 15 minutes of whole group student instruction during each assigned teaching hour
  • Ensure teaching space is appropriately organized with teaching materials and school appropriate. 
  • Follow your Professional Learning Community’s pacing guides

  • Make every effort to keep family and pets off camera 

  • Follow appropriate pupil accounting guidelines as it pertains to student engagement and attendance

  • Allow students to have snacks

  • Students may keep camera off

  • Provide grace, understanding, and support 

In-Person Teachers

  • Teach, model, and reinforce health and safety guidelines
  • Follow appropriate pupil accounting guidelines as it pertains to student engagement and attendance
  • Follow your Professional Learning Community’s pacing guides

  • Provide grace, understanding, and support 

AdministratORS

  • Follow staff handbook

  • Be visible in digital classes; pop into Zooms and in-person classes 

  • Provide grace, understanding, and support 

  • Teach, model, and reinforce health and safety guidelines

  • Support the alignment of in-person and virtual course pacing 

  • Provide timely and clear communication to your parents, staff, and students
