DISTRICT-PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL SITES AND SERVICES
Novi Community School District (NCSD) is committed to providing its students with the most effective digital tools and applications for learning. The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), a federal law, requires parental notification and consent for student use of district provided online resources for educational purposes with no commercial purposes. The law permits schools to act as the parent/guardian's agent and can consent to the collection of student information on the parent/guardian's behalf.

NCSD has consented through COPPA on several digital tools for educational purposes. The digital tools are organized into two lists based on their wide-spread usage:

District-Provided Educational Digital Tools: digital tools that are purchased by NCSD and/or integrated at the district level through the Student Information System (SIS), Clever, or the Learning Management System (LMS).

Teacher-Selected Educational Digital Tools: digital tools that teachers select to use in their classroom instruction and may be integrated in Clever or the Learning Management System.
Both Educational Digital Tools lists are subject to change.
