We are thrilled to announce a series of four Town Hall sessions dedicated to the district-wide design and the future of learning spaces. These sessions offer a unique chance for the community to participate in shaping future-ready educational environments that align with the district's 2024-2027 Strategic Plan

About Dr. Yong Zhao

Dr. Yong Zhao
Dr. Yong Zhao, a global education thought leader, brings expertise on student-centered learning, creativity, and innovation. His insights will guide Novi's community in envisioning learning environments that align with the district’s strategic goals that prepare students for future challenges and opportunities.
 

About Joseph South

Joseph South

Joseph South is the chief innovation officer at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and a national educational technology leader focused on evidence-based learning transformation. South formerly served as the director of the U.S Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology. In this role, he was an adviser to the secretary of education and developed national policy, including policy to advance educational technology in teacher preparation. He offers expert insights into the impact of Artificial Intelligence in education systems and is a strong proponent of the active use of technology by learners. South has also served as a Designer Resident for IDEO, and holds a doctorate in instructional psychology and technology from Brigham Young University.
