                                NOVI HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

BOWLING TRYOUTS

Bowling Tryouts are scheduled for Monday, November 18th and Tuesday, November 19th , 3:30 - 5:00 PM, at Novi Bowl.  The cost is $5.00 each day.  If you have any questions regarding the bowling team, please reach out to Coach Osborne: johnnyo301@comcast.net

 

WINTER WONDERLAND SENSORY FRIENDLY WITH SENSATIONAL SANTA

Novi Community Schools and the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee will be hosting a Sensory Friendly Winter Wonderland Event on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10:00 - 3:30 PM at Parkview Elementary School. Please refer to the attached flyer for further details and registration information.

 

TRACK AND FIELD MEETING

There will be an informational Track and Field Meeting on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 2:10 PM in Lecture Area A. Any athlete interested in joining the team this year should plan on attending this meeting. 

 

SENIOR ALL NIGHT PARTY (SANP)

The next Senior All Night Party Parent Meeting will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 7:00 PM in Room 160. Please enter through the athletic entrance.

Purchase a ticket for your senior (if you haven't already). Ticket price is $80.00 payable to Novi High School. Please see Michele Wareck in the Attendance Office.

Kindergarten pictures are needed of your senior! Please print an 8x10 of your students kindergarten photo and write their name on the back and drop it off in the Administrative Office. Please note that the picture will not be returned.

Donations of college spirit wear, ramen, cash and school supplies are needed. Please feel free to drop these items off in the Administrative Office.

Senior Keepsake Tumblers and Yard signs are available to order online at: http://noviseniororders.com. Deadline to order to is Friday, November 15, 2019.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Any 10th or 11th grade students with a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 are eligible to apply for National Honor Society. National Honor Society is an organization whose main mission is to provide service to the school and the community. Please see the link on the Novi High School website for more information about other requirements. Application packets are available beginning October 15, 2019 from Mrs. Tobis in the Student Services Office or from Mrs. Schypinski in room 221. Application packets are due back by January 10, 2020.

The Michigan Child Protection Registry, administered under the Secretary of State's office, is dedicated to stopping and blocking adult-themed content from reaching your child or teen on their phone, tablet or other electronic devices and keeping your children safe while online. SCHOOLOGY INFORMATION

Your student's current grades, classroom materials and resources can be found in Schoology. Parent Access Codes were handed out on Curriculum Night by your student's 2nd hour teacher, or given to students the following day. If you or your student has misplaced your code, please contact any of your student's teachers to obtain them again. It is also recommended that you download the Schoology app, found in your App Store for both iPhone and Android. For additional parent resources, please click the link:

2019 COMMENCEMENT DVD's

The 2019 Commencement DVD's are in! If you ordered one, please come to the Administrative Office to pick it up.

 

FOCUS ON THE ROAD VIDEO CONTEST

The Suburban Collection, Michigan's largest auto dealer, created a video contest in hopes of encouraging students and new drivers to eliminate distracted driving. It's called Focus on the Road. This video contest for students helps bring awareness to the dangers of distracted driving. Students will need to create a 35 second video with your phone or a DSLR camera and then submit it.
