Exercise is critical to developing healthy students. In addition to weekly physical education classes and daily recesses, students at Novi Woods participate in 10-15 minutes of daily exercise stations including yoga, jogging, aerobic & dance exercises during Woods Workout.
Novi Woods teaches kids to "think win-win" by engaging them in a variety of fun service projects for our local, national, and international communities. Projects included schoolyard clean-up and planting, Red Cross support for tsunami victims, food drive for Gleaner's Food Bank, partnerships with Bridgepointe Charities, support for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Read and Be Well book publishing and donations.
Students meet in small, multi-aged "Dens" each week to focus on learning the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. Novi Woods is building a learning community during our Den meetings and celebrates school activities and accomplishments during school-wide Pride Circles. The goal is for all students to be able to apply the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to our school, our classrooms and our lives.
Over 140 parents volunteered in over 20 PTO sponsored activities to support all students, staff, and families at Novi Woods.
