To log on to Parent Connection
Follow the instructions below. From a computer with Internet access, open the web browser, (i.e.: Internet Explorer), and type the following in the address box. Note: AOL users must open Internet Explorer in a separate window. ParentConnection will NOT open while using the AOL browser. You must also allow Pop-ups for ParentConnection site.
1. Enter URL address:
https://mistar.oakland.k12.mi.us/novi/parentconnect/ and mark as a favorite.
2. Enter PIN and Password, click Logon:
PIN: This number is a unique number assigned to each contact randomly by the computer. Your PIN (personal identification number) cannot be changed.
Password: Use the default assigned password for your first logon. Passwords were randomly generated and are CASE SENSITIVE. It is suggested you change your password the first time you connect.

Click on Need Your Login Information.
3. Select a Student:
If you have more than one child enrolled, you will have the opportunity to view data for each child from the drop-down list. If you have only one child enrolled in the school district the screen will default to that child's data and the child's name will automatically appear in the Student field.
4. Navigate the site located in the upper right corner of website
5. Navigate Student Data
Click the links on the left side of the screen to view different types of data for the selected student, such as, News, Demographics, Contacts, Schedule, Attendance, Request, Assignments, Marks. The currently selected link will be highlighted in white. The data links available will depend on how the school has configured the track you are viewing. Therefore the student data link menu examples listed above may not correspond exactly with the menu you may view at a specific school site.
