The Novi Community School District is a closed district, which means that we are not a School of Choice district. All students, with the exception of employee’s students, attending our schools must reside within the Novi School District boundaries. These boundaries are not the same as the City of Novi boundaries.
Unsure if you reside within the Novi Community School District boundaries or want to know which elementary school your student will attend?

Locate our elementary attendance areas map.

The Novi Community School District is now offering a virtual option for our K-12 students through the new Novi Virtual School.  This option will be a full commitment for the 2021-2022 school year.  For more information please visit our 2021-2022 Information on Novi K-12 Virtual School page.

Please call 248-675-3430 or visit the Early Childhood Education Center Preschool for more information.

This is for students that are new to the Novi Community School District, not to those that are currently enrolled.

Thank you for your interest in enrolling in the Novi Community School District.
Enrollment is a two step process that is completed online.
Step One is registration through PowerSchool's eCollect system.
Once you are given approval, you will receive directions to set up your PowerSchool Parent Portal Account. Please check your spam or junk folder for an email from Novi PowerSchool.
Step Two starts by linking your student to your Parent Portal Account (the linking information will be provided via email) and required documentation must be uploaded before the process can be completed.  Please go through each form in its entirety and upload required supporting documentation.  When documentation is required it will be noted.
You may not have access to a scanner. But a cell phone or tablet can be used to scan your documents. You may also be able to take a picture on your cell phone and upload that picture as documentation, if needed.
Please remain patient while we work through finalizing your student’s enrollment. Please understand there may be requests throughout the process to provide additional information, when appropriate, prior to final approval.
Once you complete both steps, a member of Central Enrollment will contact you to finalize your student's enrollment.
Interested in enrolling in the Novi Virtual Option, please review the Novi K-12 Virtual FAQ.

If you have moved within the District or your student has been absent more than 10 days, but less than 30 days, you will need to update your residency.  This can be completed once our PowerSchool transition is complete.  Please be aware that the following documentation will be required:

  • Lease or Property Transfer Affidavit

  • Two (2) recent bills (including service conformation) showing your current Novi address

  • Parent Driver's License

If your student has been absent more than 30 days, you will need to complete the enrollment process as a new student.
